Contact icon basic tutorials

Your web pages include a 'Contact' button using a graphic image of an envelope, or a big letter E or both. This image is hyperlinked to a fictional email address which you can easily change to link to your own email address, or your web masters. When the button is clicked, the visitors email program will open, with your specified email address pre-populated in the 'Send to' box.

Edit email address

  • open your website

  • open the 'includes' folder - [FP] 'Library' folder - [DW]

  • open the 'contact_button' page

  • right click on the button image

  • select HYPERLINK Properties or locate the hyperlink in the properties window

  • type in a new Email address

  • click OK >> the (mailto:) designation will automatically be added

Remove icon

  • open your website

  • open the 'includes' folder - [FP] 'Library' folder - [DW]

  • open the 'contact_button' page

  • select the icon

  • press delete on your keyboard

  • save
