Setup Guide V1 (last updated January 4th, 2007)

Designed for the Gen7 Series Templates and Modules

Working with navigation:

link bars, menu bars and hyperlinks in general:

There are 4 navigation elements embedded into your web pages. We've included more than one 'method' of navigating your web pages, because different people prefer different methods, and this includes your visitors.

These elements are optional, you can remove what you don't need if you don't like, or you can add or remove the number of links in most of the included navigational elements.

The 4 types of navigation we've built into your web pages are:

  • icons (3 small text/graphic buttons at the very top of your web pages

  • top_links (a horizontal dropmenu locate near the top of the page)

  • flash animated menu (an interactive set of left right aligned vertical menu buttons specifically designed for the flash header / branding area on the index.htm page only)

  • vertical_menu_body (an interactive set of left aligned vertical menu buttons located on the left or right of the template pages - may also be added to the index page in the body section)

  • contact button (small email icon with email link)

  • bottom_links (second horizontal text menu located at the bottom of page)

Here's an example of the 'demonstration' web, with the 5 navigation elements highlighted in red and yellow. (example does not display the vertical_menu_head buttons)

It's VERY IMPORTANT to understand that you only need to modify the navigation 'COMPONENT'. Edit the component to update all pages in your website. You DO NOT need to edit each and every page in your website.
