index.htm page:
Your index.htm page will usually be the
very first page your visitors see when they arrive at your
web site. The index.htm page shares several common elements
with the template pages in your web template. Editing the
common elements will update your index page, as well as any
template pages sharing these elements. The shared elements
are embedded into an ‘include’ page, located in the
‘includes’ folder. By default all pages in your template
will share the following ‘include’ elements:
Website Name (Graphic LOGO)
Top link bar
Icon bar
Vertical menu bar
Bottom link bar
Site Info
Themed images
The index page contains a header, or Branding area. The
branding area is made up of the flash header, the graphic
LOGO, the animated Message Headings and Taglines, as well as
images that provide a certain theme for your web site. You
can replace the logo, replace the themed images, and change
the Message Headings/Tagline text to create a unique look
for your website.
By default, your web template is 'pre-themed' which
basically means we've used images suited to a specific
industry, organization type, business type. We have taken
great care in finding suitable Royalty Free images, so you
may not want or need to replace them.
Aside from the ‘common’ elements mentioned about, you will
need to modify the:
Message Headings
Taglines
OPTIONAL: You may also want to replace the images.
We'll cover the instructions in two phases. First, we'll
look at modifying the Message Headings and Taglines, as
these are generic and need modifying before you publish your
website. Then we'll look at changing the images.
