Themed image basic tutorials

• remove themed image
• move or re-located on page

The themed images is a transparent 24bit PNG image, located in the flash/themed-image folder of your website.

You can delete the image, if you do not want a themed image or you can replace it with your own.

Remove the themed image

• open the 'includes' folder - [FP] 'Library' folder - [DW]

• open the 'themed_image' folder

• delete the existing themed image

• save

Move or re-locate on page

• open your Templates (Template_name) folder
  
  
• open the (index / fullscreen / compact) .dwt pages (or open your individual pages if not using DWTs)
  
  
• select the 'icon bar' with your mouse
  
  
• drag to a new location, or use the 'arrow' keys on your keyboard to nudge the icons into place
  
  
• save to update

To replace this image, simply create a transparent PNG image, name it:

• themed-image.png

And save this new image to the flash/themed-image folder to replace the existing file.

• open the 'includes' folder - [FP] 'Library' folder - [DW]

• open the 'themed_image' folder

• delete the existing themed image, even if it is showing the replacement image

• drag the 'themed-image.png' file from the flash folder onto the page

• set the 'Alt' tag for this image in the image properties window

It is important that you change the image dimensions, that is why we ask you to delete the image, then drag it back onto the page. This action will 'reset' the image to it's new dimensions for you. For proper 'validation (W3C) we also recommend adding an 'Alt' tag. This is not required, but a good idea.

If your replacement image is 300 pixels wide by 140 pixels in height, then this is the size that the image will be displayed in your flash header.  If you need a smaller image, you will need to resize the image in your graphic editor.
