Designed for the Freedom Series Templates and Modules

Basic Tutorials

Recommended for: All Users

Overview: there are specific components of a template that will need 'updating' prior to publishing to the internet. Basic Tutorials demonstrate how to use your favorite HTML editor to make these updates.

Objective: by the end of the Basic Tutorials you will learn how to add and remove pages, edit the menu bars, and navigational components, edit the text elements of the flash header and order your free text logo.

Software Required:  HTML Editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Expression Web, or a Standard HTML editor)

The basic tutorials are divided into 3 sections.

  • COMMON COMPONENTS (included in All pages)
  • INDEX COMPONENTS (included with the Index page only)
  • TEMPLATE COMPONENTS (included with all Template pages)

Your template includes 3 types of pages, listed above. All of these pages share certain 'common' page components, such as the logo, or horizontal menu bar. Editing one of these components will update all pages in your web site. There are some 'components' specifically designed for the 'index' page, and others designed specifically for the template pages. Instructions for specific (index or template) page components are listed further down the page.
