Setup Guide V1 (last updated January 4th, 2007)

Designed for the Gen7 Series Templates and Modules

catalog.htm:

The catalog.htm page is really just a regular HTML page, designed with a layout that is common to most online stores. Modifying the default information, replacing the product image is all that is really required.

The shopping cart function does require a bit of additional software, as well as a PayPal account.

The additional software is a FREE addon for FrontPage. Download the free addon from the link below:

1-2-3 PayPal Website Payments for Microsoft FrontPage

Follow the installation instructions listed on the download page, and restart FrontPage / Expression Web Developer.

The catalog layout provides one sample cart button, while the remaining product tables display text reading ‘add to cart’.

Quick steps:

Replace the default product information with your own information
Replace the image with your own image. The replacement image should be resized for best results. Resize your product image to the following dimensions:

150 pixels wide
120 pixel high

Place your cursor into the cell labeled ‘add to cart’ and delete this text
KEEP your cursor in this cell, then CLICK on the INSERT menu located at the top of FrontPage
Click on ‘PayPal Purchase Button Wizard’ to activate the addon
Following the directions provided on the download page, enter your product information, email address and anything else required for your shopping cart.
Click on insert HTML at the end of the wizard, and the Add to Cart button, along with the product information will be added to your catalog page.
You can delete the text that the wizard placed on your page, or move it to another location if you’ve already entered your own product name, sku and descriptions.
You can leave the wizard open, and just place your cursor into the next products ‘add to cart’ cell, repeating the process.

**tip, by clicking the ‘Previous’ button on the PayPal wizard, you can jump back to step 3, change the information, the click Next until step 5. This way you don’t need to shut down the wizard, and you can skips steps 1 and 2 for each new product.
